Birmingham City could lose the defender before the end of the transfer window should the interest in him strengthen.

Birmingham City are coming to the end of a busy January transfer window that has seen their squad changed through the introduction of new faces and the departure of those no longer of use.
So far this window, the Bluenoses have signed a number of players targeted an improving their squad including August Priske and Kai Wagner.
Meanwhile, the Blues have also let several players leave the club including Marc Leonard and Lyndon Dykes.
This business follows a hectic summer last year which saw Birmingham sign 14 players. One of the players that signed for the club for Phil Neumann.
Speaking about the club when signing, Neumann stated: “I’m really happy about my decision. I can’t wait to play in the Championship and be successful with Birmingham there.
“I always wanted to play in England. Birmingham is such a big club with a big history, and they fought hard for me and gave me a good feeling.
“I can’t wait to play my first game here, meet the fans and also meet my team-mates. It’s a nice stadium, a really nice pitch and I’m really happy to be here.
“I think the club is not where it belongs and hopefully I can help the club get back to the Premier League.”
Now, with the club 13th in the Championship, Phil Neumann Hellas Verona and VfL Wolfsburg have reportedly entered the transfer battle to sign ahead of the upcoming deadline according to Italian outfit Calciomercato.
Neumann had made 23 appearances in the league so far this season but could be on his way after just six months at St Andrews @ Knighthead Park.
Now, Blues fans may look towards the club to see if the links are true and to see if he will leave Birmingham before the end of the January window next Monday.
