Preston North End have agreed terms with a Premier League midfielder, with it hoped the deal can be concluded before the 7pm deadline.

Preston North End have agreed a deal with Brighton midfielder Andrew Moran, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke
Moran started at Bray Wanderers where he played three times, scoring once prior to his move to the South Coast.
The 22-year-old Irishman has played once for Brighton’s senior team in the Premier League, coming off the bench in a match against Everton, with further outings in the cups. Most of his minutes for the Seagulls have come with the U21s.
Following this form for Brighton, he was linked with Chelsea and Manchester United
Moran has appeared several time for Brighton, alongside loan spells with Championship duo Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City, along with a stint in America, with La Galaxy.
Moran played 70 times for Stoke City and Blackburn Rovers on loan in the Championship during 2023/24 and 2024/25, scoring six times. He joined La Galaxy in the summer and played eight times, scoring once. He returned to Brighton at the end of December.
During his stint with the Potters, Moran helped the club to finish in 18th position after the club had been threatened with the drop.
North End currently sit in eight position in the Championship but are just three points outside of the playoffs. They have hit a blip recently losing three of the last four, gaining just one point from a possible twelve.
Andrew Moran has appeared three times for Ireland’s senior team. He has also appeared 20 times for the U21’s downwards.
It is hoped that a move to Preston would get Moran the gametime that he craves to further develop his game, as the midfielder, who can also play on the wing, looks to be a starter at this point in his career.
