According to Pete O’Rourke, QPR midfielder Sam Field is set to have a medical at Norwich City  as the Transfer Deadline looms over. Beating out other Championship clubs such as Derby and Charlton.

Norwich This Season

Another season where Norwich have struggled however this season sat 19th in the Championship, Norwich need everything they can to make a gap between themselves and the drop. However, even with the clubs needing to stay up this season, they have had an extremely quiet end to the window with Fields being the only player rumoured thus far. WIth only one potential signing is it too late now for Norwich to save themselves?

Insight On Sam Field

With QPR having a variety of talented midfielders in their squad, Sam Fields has been a rotation option throughout the 25-26 season. The 27 year old has had previous stints at West Brom and a loan at Charlton who were one of the clubs interested in bringing him in for the remainder of the season.

A work horse defensively Sam Fields can win the ball across the pitch and covers a lot of the ground when played. However, Sam Field can make some big mistakes when under pressure so from a Norwich standpoint this could be make or break for their season if this is to be their only signing on deadline day.

From a QPR standpoint it is smart business as they still have 3.5 years on his contract, allowing him to get many first team minutes, giving him more of a chance when he comes back to the R’s in the summer, this also means that QPR can play youngster Morgan after his loan to Luton fell through.

What do you guys think about this loan move to Norwich for Field. Is it smart or have Norwich ended their window too early? Let us know on social media.
