Watford have suffered a big injury blow before Saturday’s game against Swansea City at Vicarage Road in the Championship.

Watford are due to face Swansea at Vicarage Road in a 3:00 KO, but will be without Rocco Vata for what is a season-ending injury.

The Irish Man took to Instagram and posted a message to the fans saying, “See You Next Season ”

Fans questioned the decision to start Vata after only playing 30 minutes against Blackburn rovers however, Gracia was quick to answer about Rocco, stating “no risk was taken”.

Another Injury Issue

Vata was forced to be withdrawn in the game against Blackburn Rovers after a hard challenge in the 42nd minute which caused a hamstring issue, so he had to be replaced by Giorgi Chakvetadze.

Having been out for a long period of time since the 1st of November, coming off injured against Middlesbrough and only just returning last Wednesday evening against Portsmouth.

It was a huge risk from the medical staff to give the nod to the left winger at the weekend and it proved to be costly.

Vata has only made 12 appearances this season for the Hornets and has scored 2 goals and claimed 2 assists.

How will Watford Fare without Rocco Vata?

Losing the young forward is a hammer blow after only just returning from Injury.

However, Watford have plenty of attacking options in the wide positions such as Chakvetadze being able to play there as well as Baah, who has struggled for minutes under Javi Gracia but could get a chance now that Vata is out.

Irankunda is also an option, but is likely to stick in his preferred position on the right-hand side.

Javi Gracia will be hoping that another Rocco Vata injury doesn’t put a dent in the promotion hopes.
