Four Sheffield Wednesday players are set to be missing for the fixture against Birmingham City which takes place at Hillsborough.

Sheffield Wednesday are one of the sides competing in the Championship currently, although sit bottom of the table after their first 26 games of the season.
Furthermore, the Owls (who were placed into administration earlier this season) have had 18 points worth of deduction which, combined with their poor form, has left them with a total of -7 points – 35 points away from safety.
To make matters worse, Wednesday boss Henrik Pedersen confirmed that goalkeeper Pierce Charles could be missing for up to eight weeks with an injury sustained during the Owls’ defeat to Brentford in the FA Cup earlier this month.
Now, with a match against Birmingham City coming up, Pedersen has been previewing the match with him now confirming that four players could miss the game.
As revealed in the ‘Match Pack’ for the game on the official Sheffield Wednesday website, both Yisa Alao and Jarvis Thornton were withdrawn early in the fixture against Portsmouth last weekend and will be monitored, putting their availability at question.
Meanwhile, the preview also states: “Olaf Kobacki will now require what the manager described as a ‘mini pre-season’ to bring the forward back up to speed after a long spell sidelined” which could see the striker miss the clash with Birmingham.
Finally, the preview revealed that Ike Ugbo remains out having missed all of Wednesday’s last six games with a hamstring injury.
These injuries could impact the chances of Wednesday picking up a result in the game at home.
Now, with this injury update revealed, Sheffield Wednesday supporters may look towards the fixture on Tuesday evening to see what line-up Henrik Pedersen picks and how these potential absentees could affect his selection.
As well as this, supporters may look towards the match as an opportunity to win their first game in 21 league attempts.
