The wait for EAFC 26 is nearly over with millions of football fans across the world anticipating a better, more-improved version of the game. However, one topic that has always been arguable is the inclusion of real-life stadiums.
In the latest edition of EAFC, all of the twenty Premier League sides have their stadium in the game. Furthermore, the majority of the sides in the EFL Championship also have their stadium featured.
But, for those who don’t have their stadium featured, it can feel like you are playing with a whole different team. Therefore, here are five stadiums that we think should be featured in EAFC 26.
Valley Parade
Bradford City’s Valley Parade (officially the University of Bradford Stadium) has been in its current form since the early 2000s. With four distinctive and unique stands, its appearance is recognisable to fans across English football.
The stadium is also one of the biggest in EFL League One which makes it a worthy inclusion on this list.
Hillsborough
Historic, Huge, Hillsborough. The stadium has been a staple of British football since its opening in 1899. It has hosted FIFA Club Cup games, European Championship games and FA Cup games. It is also one of the most recognisable grounds in the country due to its old-school and unique layout.
But, yet, it is not featured on EAFC in any form. Therefore, we think the stadium deserves to be in EAFC 26.
The Valley
The Valley will host EFL Championship action next season following Charlton Athletic’s promotion through the play-offs last season. It has a capacity of 27,111 seats and features four stands that create a wrap-around feel at points in the ground.
Athletic’s stadium is currently one of eight EFL Championship stadiums that don’t feature on the game and in our opinion, the inclusion of the stadium would be beneficial – both to Charlton fans and EFL fans in general.
Toughsheet Community Stadium
The Toughsheet Community stadium has a capacity of 28,723 and features four connected stands which creates a unique look to the stadium.
Whether it’s Bolton staying up in 2018 on the last day or Thogden’s iconic and interesting perspectives, the stadium has seen plenty of interesting moments. Its inclusion in EAFC 26 would be just the next step in creating a legacy for the stadium.
Kassam Stadium
Earlier in this piece, the word unique was mentioned. Arguably, no stadium in the EFL is as unique as Oxford United‘s Kassam Stadium which was opened in 2001.
The stadium has many features although none are more obvious than the fact that it only has three stands. Its three stand layout is due to financial problems.
This has often attracted critics towards the stadium although we think this makes it even more unique. Therefore, we think this would be an interesting and entertaining inclusion in EAFC 26.
