Swindon Town On Verge Of Completing Deal For Premier League Youth Prospect

Swindon Town are closing in on their next signing with the club chasing the signature of the Premier League prospect.

League Two promotion chasers Swindon Town are set to sign Wolves striker Fletcher Holman on a 1 and-a-half-year deal.

Ian Holloway’s side are poised to beat a number of unnamed fourth tier clubs to the highly rated forward’s signature and complete some more early-window business at the County Ground.

The 21 year old is a product of the Wolves academy but spent his earlier days at Eastbourne Borough.

Holman spent the 24/25 season at Solihull Moors scoring once and assisting another in nine appearances for the National League side.

The center-forward has clocked 440′ minutes of Youth Premier League football, scoring four in the process.

Holman’s rise has been built on attributes that translate well to League Two.

He plays with sharp movement, constantly looking to pull centre‑backs into uncomfortable areas, and he attacks space with the confidence of someone who has had to earn every step of his career.

His finishing is instinctive, often taking shots early and catching goalkeepers before they can set themselves.

That edge comes from non‑league football, where chances are scrappier and forwards learn to be decisive.

For Swindon, the appeal is obvious. Ian Holloway has spoken openly about the need for more energy and variety in the final third, and Holman offers exactly that.

Fletcher Holman isn’t a static number nine, he’s a forward who presses aggressively, links play, and forces defenders to make decisions.

In a side that has lacked consistent movement up front, his profile adds something different.

Swindon’s current January tightened things further with Michael Olakigbe and Aidan Borland arriving on loan and Ben Middlemas joining permanently. It’s been a steady, hungry rebuild built around versatility and players with something to prove.
