Former Bradford City Defender Agrees Move To Sheffield Wednesday

Sheffield Wednesday are reportedly set to sign the services of former Bradford City defender, as the transfer window closure nears.

Sheffield Wednesday

Sheffield Wednesday will be aiming for success in the rest of the EFL Championship season as the outfit looks to launch a potential hopeful bid to climb out of the relegation zone.

The Owls currently sit in 24th on -7 points due to ownership and financial issues in the Championship, lost 1-0 to Wrexham on Saturday, meaning they haven’t won in seven games.

Meanwhile, the outfit has only kept three clean sheets so far this campaign, putting them on a -39 goal difference.

Tayo Adaramola

With this in mind, Wednesday could look to recruit players from the loan market in the closing stages of the window to help offer an option to the squad when left-sided player Reece Johnson can’t deliver.

Now the Owls have reportedly agreed a loan deal for Crystal Palace and former Bradford City left wing back Tayo Adaramola, according to Pete O’Rourke on his X account.

The 22-year-old featured 19 times for Leyton Orient in League One before his loan was cut short by Palace.

For Adamarola, a move to Sheffield Wednesday could offer an opportunity to regain form and receive an increased amount of game time.

This move could be potentially right for both sides, with the defender looking to improve on his inconsistency and Wednesday needing extra depth as well as needing to save wages due to financial issues.

Adaramola’s Bradford City Stint

If he can display the same form that he played with at Bradford City in League Two (where he picked up three assists and a 63.5% duel success rate in 16 appearances).

The 22-year-old could bring a potential chance of staying up to the struggling Championship side and show that he deserves to be chosen consistently.

Whilst the Owls are trying to get the addition over the line, Wednesday supporters who hold interest could look to see how he could benefit the squad in the short term.

However, the announcement and decision of this move may have to be quick, with the deadline of the window tomorrow.
