The Best Games In The EFL Predicted For You – Easter Monday Special

Burnley v Sheffield United –

The biggest game in the EFL on Easter Monday sees 2nd placed Burnley and 3rd placed Sheffield United meet with a 5 point gap between the two sides currently present. If Burnley win, the gap increases to 8. If Sheffield United win, the gap closes to just 2. Given Burnley haven’t lost at home all season and given that the Blades haven’t fared well away from home recently, I can see Burnley winning this game although I think the scoreline will remain low.

Luke’s Prediction – Burnley 1-0 Sheffield United

In this fight for the Premier League, a Burnley win means they’re up, but a United win means it’s just a two point gap! This is the biggest game of Easter Monday! Bring it on! This is a massive game with so much riding on it but if United lose they’d have to go up through the playoffs, so I’m saying a United win. just.

Rob’s Prediction- Burnley 0-1 Sheffield United

Rob’s EFL League One Predictions-

Wycombe vs Charlton

2nd plays 4th in this battle for promotion, with just Wrexham separating the two sides! Wycombe will be wanting promotion sooner rather than later and also will want to keep Wrexham at arms length but Charlton will be looking to finish the season strong as they head into the playoffs.

Wycombe 2 Charlton 0

Cambridge vs Leyton Orient

Cambridge have won 2 of their last 6 as they look to try and remain in League One. They are attempting to cut a 5 point gap to safety with just 9 available but if anyone can do it atm it’s them!

Cambridge 1 Orient 0

Luke’s EFL League Two Predictions –

Accrington Stanley v Carlisle United –

The term relegation 6 pointer is thrown around usually when we reach this stage of this season, but this one is one of the biggest in recent years with both teams in good form and both teams needing points to ensure survival or keep their chances of survival alive. The two teams have been high scoring as of late with both sides scoring 5 goals in their last 2 games which is why I can see a high scoring affair that sees the away side come out on top.

Luke’s Prediction – Accrington Stanley 2-3 Carlisle United

Doncaster Rovers v Colchester United –

In our second League Two prediction, we see another 6 pointer but this time in the promotion fight with both sides engaged in tight battles at the summit of the table as Rovers fight for an automatic promotion spot whilst United fight for a play-off spot. Given the reverse fixture which ended in a 1-1 draw and the drawing nature of both sides in their last 5 games (3 for Doncaster and 2 for Colchester), I can see a tight affair which ends in the same score as the reverse fixture.

Luke’s Prediction – Doncaster Rovers 1-1 Colchester United
