Gary Caldwell has departed Exeter City to join Wigan Athletic. Take a look at three managers that could replace Caldwell in the dugout.

Earlier this week, Exeter City announced the departure of manager Gary Caldwell, as he leaves to join relegation threatened Wigan Athletic.
Take a look below at three managers that Exeter City could appoint to fill the vacant managerial role.
Exeter City could appoint current interim manager Dan Green on a permanent basis to replace Caldwell.
Green, who was the assistant manager of Matt Taylor before his move to Rotherham United, could be seen as the favourite for the job.
Before his side drew 1-1 to Wycombe Wanderers, Dan Green emphasised that his only focus was on the upcoming games.
“If I could tell you how busy my last couple of days have been, it’s not even crossed my mind at the moment because I feel like I need to give everything to the players and to the staff,” Green told BBC Radio Devon.
“All of our focus needs to go on to Wycombe. Once Wycombe is done, maybe I can think about what’s next.”
Green has had coaching roles for Aston Villa and Rotherham United, but has never landed himself a permanent managerial role.
There is no doubt that the 34-year-old will look to impress within interim charge, and it could be argued that the job is his to loose.
Free agent manager Matt Taylor could return to Devon as the club could look to appoint the former fan favourite.
Taylor, who won promotion with Exeter City from League Two, has been out of a job since his dismissal from Bristol Rovers.
Taylor managed Exeter for 227 games, averaging an impressive 1.63 points per game.
Although Taylor has had somewhat of a negative tradjectory since leaving St James’ Park, bringing back a popular figure such as Taylor could give the fans confidence for the rest of the teams League One campaign, as well as Taylor himself.
Perhaps Ryan Lowe could be the man to lead Exeter City into the final stretch in League One this season.
Lowe, who has recently been sacked by Wigan Athletic and replaced by Gary Caldwell, bolsters Championship experience under Preston North End.
Lowe managed bitter rivals Plymouth Argyle, where his success with the club landed him the role with Preston.
Although Lowe had a rough time at Wigan, the Exeter board could look to appoint him and try recreate the success he achieved in the other side of Devon.
Appointing Lowe would undoubtedly split the Exeter fanbase, which is why it could be viewed as the most unlikely option for the Grecians.
