Exeter City have announced the signing of a highly rated winger on loan from a Premier League side, as Gary Caldwell improves his side.

Exeter City have confirmed the signing of highly rated winger, Timur Tutierov, on a loan until the end of the season.
It looked like Exeter’s latest signing would be a striker, but the club have shocked the fan base and announced the signing of highly rated Timur Tutierov.
Take a look below at everything you need to know about the Grecians latest signing.
Tutierov joins the Grecians with minutes under his belt for the Ukraine U21’S and U19’s.
The Ukranian international is heavily rated in his home country, having made matchday squads for Ukranian Premier League side Kolos Kovalivka in 2023.
In his combined total of 13 appearances for the Ukranian youth setup, Timur registered two goals playing on the wing, and impressing fans watching him.
Tutierov joins Exeter as the first Ukranian to play for the club, and is surely hoping to create some good memories in Devon.
Exeter could possibly have done one of the best deals of the window so far, as they pick up Tutierov in the form of his career.
In the Premier League 2 this season, Tutierov has scored six goals in 7 appearances for the Black Cats, which led to Gary Caldwell’s Grecians scouting him.
“In terms of my game style, it’s probably all about the speed, because I find myself quickly, and I’m good in finishing, good in 1v1. It’s all that I can say,” said winger Timur Tutierov ahead of joining Exeter City.
Gary Caldwell seems to be the man that really tempted Timur Tutierov to a trip down to Devon.
Caldwell has proved to be a big pull factor to lure signings to Exeter, and it looks like he has worked his magic once again.
When speaking to the Exeter City media team, Tutierov said, “After my conversation with Gary Caldwell I wanted to join the club, because the words which he said to me give me confidence to join. It’s very important for the young player like me, especially for the first loan.
“All the boys are very friendly, very nice to me, they make this period easier.”
Caldwell has worked well with young loan signings at Exeter, with players such as Jay Stansfield and Tristan Crama excelling under Caldwell.
“Timur is someone we have been tracking for a while. He came in to train with us for a few days in December so we could get to know him better, both as a player and as a person.
That’s something we want to do more often with loan players. With Sil Swinkels returning to Aston Villa it opened up a loan spot and some budget to work with,” Said Caldwell in an interview with the club.
Tutierov will wear the number 28 for Exeter, and will look to create some magic for the Grecians as the club look to climb up the League One table.
