Wrexham are reportedly pushing for the services of Portsmouth defender as the transfer window closure nears.

Wrexham will be aiming for success in the rest of the EFL Championship season as the outfit looks to cement their spot in the promotion places.
The Red Dragons currently sit 6th on 47 points since they won promotion from League One in the summer, on Saturday they won 1-0 against a struggling Sheffield Wednesday side.
Meanwhile, the outfit has conceded 37 goals so far this season and currently sits on a +7-goal difference.
With this in mind, Wrexham could look to recruit more than one defender in the closing stages of deadline day to help offer extra options and quality to their backline.
Now, the Red Dragons are pushing to sign Portsmouth defender Terry Devlin, according to Pete O’Rourke on his X account.
The 22-year-old has featured 23 times for Portsmouth so far this season in the Championship with him scoring three goals and picking up a single assist.
For Devlin, a move to Wrexham could offer an opportunity to play in a side that is potentially competing for promotion and improve his defensive ability.
It could be argued that the quality and consistency of Devlin in a relegation side, the move could be beneficial for both sides.
If he can hit the same form that he has played with throughout his time at Portsmouth so far (where he has won 61.2% of his duels and 60.9% of his aerial duels), the 22-year-old could bring success to Portsmouth whilst proving to manager Phil Parkinson that he deserves to be chosen consistently.
Whilst the Red Dragons are trying to get the addition over the line, Wrexham supporters who are interested could look to see how he could benefit the side in the short term and long term.
However, with the deadline of the window upon the horizon, the decision may have to be quick if a deal is to be successful.
