Wrexham are reportedly close to signing the services of Sheffield Wednesday striker, as the transfer window closure nears.

Wrexham will be aiming for success in the rest of the EFL Championship season as the outfit looks to launch a potential promotion bid.
The Red Dragons currently sit 6th in the Championship they won 1-0 on Saturday against struggling side Sheffield Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the outfit has just scored 44 times, which puts them on a +7 goal difference currently.
Bailey Cadamarteri
With this in mind, Wrexham could look to recruit a striker before the window closes to help offer another option, especially if striker Ryan Hardie leaves the club.
Now, the Red Dragons are close to agreeing a £1m fee for Sheffield Wednesday striker Bailey Cadamarteri, according to Anthony Joseph on his X account.
The 20-year-old has featured 29 times for Wednesday so far this season in the Championship and has picked up two goals and zero assists.
For Cadamarteri, a move to Wrexham could offer an opportunity to regain form, compete with other strikers and improve his goal-scoring figures.
It could be argued that the quality and inconsistency of Cadamarteri in a Championship side, the academy graduate moving to Wales, could be potentially the right move for both sides.
Cadamarteri’s Lincoln City career
If he can hit the same form that he played with at Lincoln City in League One last season (where he scored 8 goals in 38 matches), the 20-year-old could bring success to Wrexham whilst proving to manager Phil Parkinson that he deserves to be chosen consistently.
Whilst the Red Dragons are trying to get the addition over the line, Wrexham supporters who hold an interest could look to see how he could benefit them in the short and long term.
However, with the deadline of the window approaching, this decision may have to be quick if a deal is to be successful.
