Wycombe Wanderers boss Michael Duff has urged caution as his club close in on the transfer window closing next Monday at 7pm.

Wycombe Wanderers boss Michael Duff has urged caution, as his side wait for the chain to reach them, according to Bucks Free Press.
Wanderers have chased Bolton Wanderers midfielder Aaron Morley but face competition for the midfielder. Wycombe face competition from Oxford United and Luton Town. Wycombe Wanderers have also been strongly linked with Sylvester Jasper.
Oxford are now managed by former Chairboys boss Matt Bloomfield. The Chairboys have made just one signing this window, Luke Harris from Fulham, on loan.
Wanderers currently sit in eighth position in League One and are only six points away from the playoffs.
With the aforementioned Harris being the only signing, surely Wycombe will be active in the last few days of the window as we close-in on the closure of the window next Monday at 7pm.
With players such as Cauley Woodrow, Luke Leahy, Josh Scowen and Jack Grimmer already at the club, it is just a few small tweaks needed. That being said, if they can get Morley over the line that would be massive!
25-year-old Morley has played 26 times for Bolton Wanderers this campaign, scoring one goal. Last season was his most fruitful with six goals and seven assists, during his time with both Bolton and the Chairboys.
He has also turned out for Rochdale, scoring 10 goals and gaining 17 assists too.
“I’m not in control of that [transfers]. We’re trying to be active, and it’s not like we’re sitting on our heels.”
“There’s usually a chain, and sometimes, you have to wait. No-one wanted to wait this long.”
“We were close to a couple, but it is what it is. My job is to work with the players that are here and make the players that are here better.”
Although Duff is calling for patience, this seems like a call for him to be backed by the board in the hope of making further signings before that window slams shut!
