Founded in 1885 in Bedfordshire and based at Kenilworth Road since 1905, Luton Town (“The Hatters”) became the first fully professional club in southern England by 1891. They climbed into the Football League in 1920, reached the First Division in the 1950s, and famously entered the Premier League in 2023 after a remarkable nine-season rise from non-league football. Now, competing in League One following back-to-back relegations, the club still retains its orange‑trimmed identity and strong community heritage.
