Oxford United

Founded in 1893 as Headington United, the club changed its name in 1960 and joined the Football League in 1962. They won the League Cup in 1986, becoming the first club to win that trophy after successive promotions from the Fourth Division to the First Division in just four years. Oxford United play at the Kassam Stadium and in 2024 secured promotion to the Championship, returning to the second tier of English football.
