Swansea City

Founded in 1912 as Swansea Town, the club changed its name to Swansea City in 1970 to reflect the city’s status. They joined the Football League in 1920 and play home games at the Swansea.com Stadium (formerly the Liberty Stadium) since 2005. Swansea climbed from the fourth tier to the Premier League in 2011 and won the League Cup in 2013, qualifying for the UEFA Europa League. After relegation in 2018, they continue to compete in the Championship.
